Jagga, unintentionally, commits his elder brother Bhagatsingh's murder Bhagat takes a vow from his wife, while breathing his kot that she will not differentiate between her own son Dharmu and Jagga's son Pali. Jagga is awarded life imprisonment. In jail he becomes friendly with dacoit Kala Singh. Swarno, with difficulty, brings up Dharmu and Pali, who are grown into a persant and police inspector, respectively. Dharmu falls in love with one Kammo.

Richhpala, son of Ranjeetsingh, a friend of Jagga returns from city and becomes a rival to Dharmu for the love of Kammo, Both becomes enemies, Richhpala, due to his hooliganism evokes the wrath of his own father who attempts to shoot Richhpala. but Swarno, saves him, at two such occasions Richhpala has to flee from the village and take refuge at Kalasingh's den which after Kala's release, has been turned into a seformatury. Richhpala, there too does not come to his senses but starts a campaign of dacoities in Kala's name. He tries to kidnap Kammo, which attempt is foiled by Jagga, who has come out of jail and is living the life of a recluse, as his  own son still hates his father but loves the seduce as he does not recognise him in that grab. Richhpala surprises hits his father one night. Jagga who intervenes is a larger of his dagger, which actually hits his own father, as he comes in. Ranjit dies but a companion of Richhupala shouts it to the village that Raniit has been murdered by Dharmu, who drives on the spot, by a sheer chance. Jagga leaves Dharmu to the care of Kala. Pali who normally respects Jagga, as a reclase has to arrest him for getting Dharmu shelter somewhere.

Kammo and Pali's betrothed Satto walk in the net of Riehhpala as they set out, in search of Dharmu. Jaggga offers his services to lead Pali to the possible spot where Kammo and Satto must have gone and Pali accepts the offer.

Whether Kammo and Satto are rescued out of Richhpala's clutches, what is the end of Richhpala's villainy, how Kala sacrifes his life for Dharmu and Swarno sacrifices her life are questions answered on the silver screen.
