'Melodies heard' 'are sweet, but those unheard are sweeter'. This holds the good for stories.
Sometimes an 'untold' story when unfolded on the screen leaves a better, more lasting impact on the viewers than the pre-sold or for that matter pre-told stories.
This, precisely, is the reason why we would rather like the story of our offering 'Kanyadaan' to remain untold than pre-told before its actual unfolding on the silver screen.
There is, however, one way of telling the story without quite letting it out. Suffice it to say that it is the story of a most baffling dilemma that ever tormented a woman.
"KANYADAAN IS THE STORY OF A CONFLICT BETWEEN REALITY AND RITUALS, A CLASH BETWEEN CUSTOM AND CONVICTION, A TUSSLE BETWEEN TRUTH AND TRADITION."
'Kanyadaan', as a rule, is the most pleasant, the most sacred occasion in every Indian family. It tells of the emotional occurrence where all the family members affectionately bid goodbye to the daughter of the house and wish her well on her new journey.
As with the family blessing their dear and near one on her departure to her new abode, 'Kanyadaan' unit which has fathered the film with love and affection for its journey across the national screen wish 'her' (Film) good luck and God speed.
