Megha (Tina Munim) and Som Dutt (Alok Nath) are happy married until a gruesome accident robs their only daughter (Sona) from their lives. Megha is unable to express her sorrow and Som goes literally mad imagining that his wife is responsible for his daughter's death.

Som continues to be cold to her feelings and expressions while poor Megha is literally driven to her world of fantasies where she encounters a strong man (Bhattacharya) who is able to fulfill her desires. Som spiteful and Megha going crazy. Raghav goes over to the family doctor (Satyen Kapoo) and tells him that the matter is very serious.

Meanshile Som calls up Megha's mother and tells her to come and take her mad daughter away before he throws her on the streets. The mother (Asha Lata) rushed over and in collaboration with Raghav decides to give Megha immediate psychiatric treatment. The psychiatric sessions reveal how deeply she misses Som's affection and the deep love that she has for her departed father (Ramesh Deo).

After understanding Megha's mental turmoil Som decides to give her all the warmth and affection. But will she be ready to accept his love and apologies? And how is she going to overcome this bizarre fantasy world of the muscleman forms the crux of the spine-chilling climax never before attempted on the Hindi screen........
