Unpredictable are the ways of providence. Shyam, a tough guy, falls a victim to a sudden surge of anger and revenge and commits murder of Thakur Ramsingh. The Law gets him and he is thrown behind bars.

Shyam comes out of jail with a compromising conscience and unstable moral code. Society gives him a cold shoulder. Another shock awaits him at home. His wife who was pregnant at the time he went to jail is missing. Frustration, uncertainty of his future, and the complete shattering of his dreams conspire together to make him not only a full-fledged criminal but a traitor to his own motherland. Shyam is offered a deal. He is to receive a fabulous sum in exchange for some secrets of strategic importance pertaining to his country. In connection with this ignoble mission he requires the services of an attractive girl, capable of playing Mata Hari in this game. He puts the screw on Roopa by kidnapping her sister. To safeguard her sister’s life Roopa agrees to join hands with him. She is assigned the task of handing over a film depicting important details of all the strategic positions of the country to the enemy agents. Roopa starts to carry out her assignment but her conscience gets the better of her and she commits suicide by drowning her car with herself in the sea. Again Providence plays its role and Roopa is rescued and brought to Ramu’s house. Ramu, an energetic and healthy youngman and his mother look after Roopa.
