Holi is a festival of colours. It is a day to forget yourself and indulge in colourful mad ecstasy. On this day Samar and Suhagi, the young hearts, forgot themselves and committed a blunder which ultimately created a question of life an death for poor Suhagi, who become pregnant. Samar when refused to accept Suhagi, the duel of words between Mangal Singh, her father and turned into a duel of blows. Samar died. Hearing Managal Singh's arreste, his wife Jamuna who had in her arms her little son (Munna), ran in mad frenzy. Jamuna met with an accident and died. Suhagi who had nothing in life tried to jump in the river but was saved by one Anokhelal. He took her with him consoling her that she could teach his little child Sampat. Anokhelal was preparing spurious drugs. As luck would have it, Anokhelal' sister Durga and her rich husband Varmaji found Munna, the little son of Mangal. They adopted him and gave him a new name Prakash.

Suhagi now declared herself as Hemlata and had to leave Anokehlal's house. Hemlata gave birth to a child. She became a nurse and started bringing up her son Suresh.

Years passed and Suresh became a police inspector in the city. Mangal complete his term in the jail and went to his village to learn from Gangi that his wife had died, Suhagi committed suicide and that she had put his son Munna in some rich man's car. Prakash, the Munna of Mangal was now a doctor in a city hospital where Hemlata was a senior nurse.

Dr. Prakash happened to meet Sunita, Thakur Gopal Singh's daughter. They fell in love. Thakur, who was operated by Dr. Prakash and nursed by Hemlata, approved the marriage of his daughter Sunita with Dr. Prakash.

At the marriage of Prakash with Sunit, Anokhelal came to know from Gangi that Prakash was the son of Mangal, the killer of Thakur's son Samar. He told Thakur about all this and the volcano erupted. Angry Thakur took his rifle and came in the Mandap.
