The film is set in Goa and deals with a story of a Goan family dealing with the crisis of their ancestral property being usurped by Government using the “Enemy Properties Act”. In the midst of the festive season, a Goan Catholic family discovers that they have lost their property to the Government and their family honour is at stake. Sanjit, the soldier son has to fight a different battle. As the tension and drama build up, Sanjit finds himself pushed to the edge.

The Enemy Property Act, 1968 is an Act of the Parliament of India, which enables and regulates the appropriation of property in India owned by Pakistani nationals.

It may be noted that many Goans have settled in Pakistan who have properties in Goa, The said act was passed following the Indo-Pakistani War of 1965.

The film has been extensively shot in locations mainly Agaçaim Village, Pillar Monastery, Kurka Church, Panjim and surroundings. The ancestral home Casa Ferraira set in Agaçaim Village and Kurka Church easily presented themselves as the most challenging locations. This is where the heart and the soul of the film is based. The film won theBest Foreign Language Film at Milan International film festival, Best Film, Best Actor and Supporting Actress at Haryana film festival, and Best Film at Nasik International film festival.
