In every walk of life there are cheats and thieves in the guise of honest people. Under a cover they are all the time trying to cut the throat of one another.  But here is a story of two cheats Shashi Kapoor & Zeenat Aman, who are honest enough to declare openly that "Chori" is their profession i.e. "Chori Mera Kaam". They consider it a job that requires hard work and are proud of it. One day they happen to witness a wealthy Seth Deven Verma killing a girl and burying her body in a lonely place. This gives them a chance to earn big money by black mailing him. But things take a different turn and they land themselves into a big mess.

"Chori Mera Kaam" is the story of Pran-a Police Commissioner, who sacrifices his own son for the sake of duty. But what does he get in return for his services? He is branded as the most wanted criminal. He becomes revengeful and ultimately turns into a ferocious killer "Shera". 

"Chori Mera Kaam" is the story of mysterious Ashok Kumar whose hobby is to collect details of various crimes of the world. His search shows him why a criminal was caught? What mistakes he made? And what precautions he should have taken to commit a particular crime successfully. But even such a mastermind is confused when he confronts the big criminal i.e. No. 7.

"Chori Mera Kaam" is the story of Raza Murad who challenged his father Pran and got him arrested.
It is the story of a chain of crimes, black mails and mysteries, which will unfold itself on the screen. "Chori Mera Kaam" is full of Thrills and Sentiments; Shocks & Suspense; Fun and Frolics.
