Why wars? Why such deadly weapons like atom bombs? Why man wants to kill man?

This is an eternal question. Still no answer. The only logic which stands to explain it is man's craze either for wealth of power or women. In his madness to achieve either of these, he has at times stooped to any level of brutality. He has tried to invent numerous ways and means to reach his goal. Tantrik-Art is one of such means. It is an invisible weapon but as powerful as atom-bomb. To achieve this Power one does not require to make material sacrifices, but he has to make 'Physical Sacrifices' may be in terms of animal or human-life itself. A serious concept of man's personality told on a celluloid in an artistic and dignified manner.

'Bhayanak' is the story of such a man who in his lust for wealth starts indulging in 'Tantrik Activities'. He goes in touch with some scholars of 'Tantrik-Art' who while explaining the technique tells him that he will be required to start the ritual by offering few drops of his own blood followed by similar offerings of human blood for one thousand and one nights. Thakur Raghubir Singh gets on to his devilish enterprises.

The dangerous indulgence of Thakur makes his innocent children inquisitive. They also get tempted for the hidden treasure and after their father's death start from the point their father had left. The grown-up children Thakur BhanuPratap Singh, Surya Pratap Singh and their childhood companion Siddhu under the cover of their dignified family nobility and reputation keep marching in the foot-steps of their fathers' activity.

One day a newly wedded bride of Inspector Vijay becomes the victim of their black deeds. The agonised Inspector Vijay takes oath to arrest the tyrant criminals even at the cost of his own life.

How Inspector Vijay succeeds in destroying the evil.

You will have a most thrilling experience on the silver screen.
