Eight strangers board a motorboat from Mumbai to reach a deserted island which houses a lonely bungalow surrounded by a dense forest. An audio commentary (spoken by Nana Patekar) talks about the fast life of Mumbai city and gives a brief introduction to six of the invitees: Aakash, Ameeta, a bar dancer named Shabana, a playboy DD, a doctor and a professional criminal. They are welcomed by a Butler and his wife who claim that they have been brought to the island as caretakers. Their first dinner together is interrupted by a recorded message accusing each one of them of serious crimes. They all question the butler as to who is behind all this but he can give no answers. Thus, they start suspecting each other. Soon, two of the invitees are found murdered, one after the other. Suspicion now moves from one person to the other till the murderer is revealed.

The film is a remake of Raja Nawathe’s Gumnaam (1965/Hindi), which was based on the Agatha Christie novel And Then There Were None.
