Ab Ke Baras is the story of true love which transcends all boundaries of the physical as well as the metaphysical world. It is the story of the desperate struggle of two tormented souls, torn apart by destiny, to unite in the face of all odds. It is the story of the power of their love which forced even the gods to give them a chance to re-unite - a chance that they had to take for it was the last one - a chance that would never be offered again - a chance that said it's "Now or Never".

Anjali is the carefree teenaged daughter of an NRI couple who is happy with the course that her life is taking until the day of her engagement. She starts having strange hazy dreams that fade away with the first rays of the morning sun but leave the haunting call of a distant soul echoing in her whole being. She learns that her soulmate from previous life is calling out to her and she must go to India to look for him.

On her arrival in India, she comes across Karan - a loveable rogue who is, at once, both caring and callous towards her. Anjali feels Karan can help her to get to the soulmate whereas Karan thinks that she is plain stupid. Together they embark on a breath taking journey, sometimes pulling each other out of trouble and sometimes pull each other's leg. The innocence of this journey ends the day when Karan declares his love for Anjali, but Anjali to down his love her as yet unseen soulmate. The events take a serious turn as Anjali suddenly remembers her previous life clearly and destiny throws up another barrier between her and her soulmate.

Thus begins the struggle between the now and the never. It is - now or never for Anjali as it is her only chance to be with her soulmate - for Karan as it is his only chance to win over his live - for the Gods as Ab Ke Baras the time has come for them to redress the wrongs that they had allowed in the past.
