Anand (Raj Babbar), a common man, is a Salesman in a florist shop, Kajal (Poonam), a rich girl, is the daughter of one of the wealthiest family in the city.
Love for flowers, brings them together and they instinctively, fall for each other. Anand is reluctant to encourage Kajal, knowing his own position in the world, but his fears and hesitation are swept away by Kajal's skillful and unhabited approach.
They propose to marry but Vinod (Bharat Kapoor), her elder brother disposes and knowing about Kajal's infatuation with Anand, with the help of his friend Shyam (Shakti Kapoor), who has an eye for Kajal, manipulates a plot and frames Anand in a rape case. Kajal believes the false facts and breaks up with Anand, who later, coming to know the truth about the plot hatched against him, confronts Vinod and tells him that whatever may come but he will marry Kajal one day, inspite of what they could do to stop him. Vinod laughs the threat away.
Kajal, Vinod and mother (Dina Pathak), move to another city and are surprised to meet Ashok, who like Anand, even behaves and talks like him but immensely rich and is the head of a big Industrialist Syndicate, Kajal and others are surprised at this close resemblance and by the time, they do, it so too late, Ashok has taken over their fortune, wealth and even Kajal.
Who was this Ashok? Was he Anand? Or someone else?
