'Aaj Ki Taqat' is a story of two though young men, who are forced to break the law by the protectors of law and order. By force of circumstances both Gautam and Shiva turn to a life of crime but being sensitive souls they become helpers of the oppressed and in the process they meet their lady loves, Geeta and Priya. As their activities are detrimental to the interests of the underworld they come in direct conflict with the Don who can't tolerate their challenging his supremacy and this leads to several serious confrontations between the under-world and Gautam-Shiva.

In the course of confrontations, murder and mayhem become an inseparable part of their lives, but their lady lovers, Geeta and Priya convince them that violence is not the way out and they suggest that both Gautam and Shiva should use a special weapon to take care of the Don and also the entire underworld so as to remove crime from the face of the world.
